Career History
Paul is a Founder Director and current Chairman of UKBS Plc providing building
surveying and Project Management advice to a national portfolio of Clients.
Since qualifying as a Chartered Building Surveyor in 1970, Paul has worked in
private practice and developed his experience in all aspects of Building
Surveying. He joined The Livemore Partnership LLP, an expanding South East of
England practice in 1983 as a Partner. Paul has a great deal of experience in
all types of property, including residential and commercial, but also has a
particular expertise in the building surveying field, where he is often call
upon to act as an Expert Witness. He has also been responsible for training a
large number of student members of the RICS through to gaining their formal
academic qualifications, both in building surveying and valuations.

David is a director of UKBS Plc responsible for the delivery of major Project
Management Commissions. He is also Partner in the member practice of JYM
Partnership, a multi disciplinary practice of Project Managers, Surveyors and

£1.3 million. For the past 20 years David has worked in a multi-disciplinary

Richard is a Director of UKBS PLC and is responsible for Quality Assurance and
providing Building Surveying advice to a national portfolio of Clients.
Richard commenced his Building Surveying career in the Retail Sector working for
Boots the Chemist and Coral Estates.
Joining The Livemore Partnership LLP in 1996, Richard qualified as a Chartered
Surveyor in the same year. Since then he was made Associate Partner in 1999 and
then a Partner in 2001. He is involved in all aspects of practice management
and design, contract administration and professional work.
In recent years Richard has been a key consultant to Royal Mail Group and in
particular the development of the new specification for Post Office Ltd.
Richard is an experienced Party Wall Surveyor and is a member of the Pyramus and
Thisbe Club.

Career History
Ian is a Regional Director UKBS, providing building surveying advice to a
national portfolio of Clients. He is also a Director of Mason Clark Associates,
a multi disciplinary practice of Civil and Structural Engineers, Project
Managers, Surveyors and CDM Coordinators, based in Yorkshire with a staff of
20.
Over 17 years experience in the construction industry, in interior
refurbishment, Local Government and multi-disciplinary construction consultant
companies.
Initially experience in the management and financial control of retail and
commercial property refurbishment, moving on to gain wider general construction
surveying and management experience, from structural surveys, contract
administration, through to expert witness reports for a Local Authority and
technical project management. More recent experience has covered the Project
Management of a new £3m Office and Depot Development for a Housing Association
and a substantial number of refurbishment works and new build contracts across

Michael graduated from Liverpool Polytechnic with a BSc (Hons) degree in
Building Surveying in 1984.
He worked in private practice for a large multi-disciplinary consultancy in the
North West and qualified as a Chartered Building Surveyor in 1986.
In 1988 he joined the Northern Office of a multi-disciplinary Property
Consultancy with responsibility for developing Building Surveying services.

Career History
While working in Belfast, Stephen qualified as a chartered building surveyor in
1982 becoming an associate member of The Royal Institution of Chartered
Surveyors. By 1985 Stephen was an Associate within a local partnership and
became a Fellow in The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors in 1992.
Stephen is currently the senior partner in The FCM Partnership and Regional

Douglas is a Director of a UKBS in Scotland providing Building Surveying advice
to a national portfolio of Clients. Since qualifying as a Chartered Building
Surveyor in 1994, Douglas has gained experience in all aspects of commercial

Career History
Steve is an experienced Chartered Building Surveyor with over 30 years in the
construction industry. Steve has a broad range of expertise in a variety of
building types and a diverse knowledge of construction. He provides
professional building surveying advice to a national portfolio of Clients.
Commencing in the industry with a regional building contractor Steve received a
good grounding in construction spending time with a variety of trades before
working with the architect and surveyors department of the Metropolitan Police.
Since qualifying as a Chartered Building Surveyor in 1989, Steve has developed
expertise in all aspects of Building Surveying with a particular interest in
historical buildings. He is experienced in all types of commercial construction
& development and has acted as client relationship manager to a number of

Neil is a Director of Kirsop & Company, Chartered Building Surveyors, having
established the practice in 1984. Since qualifying as a Chartered Building
Surveyor in 1982, Neil has worked in both the public and private sector and has
developed wide ranging experience in Project Management and all areas of
Building Surveying. Neil is also a qualified CDM – Coordinator, and has
recently been accepted onto the APS CDM-C register.
Experience
Since entering the construction industry in 1976 Neil has developed knowledge
and experience in all aspects of Building Surveying and Project Management,
working on a wide range of property including Industrial, Retail, Office,
Health Care, Museum and Residential.
Neil has for a number of years provided building surveying advice to large

Charles qualified as a Chartered Quantity Surveyor in November 1987 and has
worked in a private practice developing a range of skills with a diverse client
base.
He was appointed Associate of MacConvilles in 1999 and Director in 2002 with
responsibilities for the Quantity Surveying side of the business.
He has led the organisation in achieving Investor In People Community Mark, ISO
9001/ 14001 Constructionline & CHAS accreditation.

Career History
Keith has worked as a Building Surveyor since 1972. He spent four years in an architectural practice undertaking building design and project management involving Commercial, Industrial and Residential projects. From there he moved to the London Borough of Harrow and was involved in Building Control as a Building Surveyor enforcing the Building Regulations.
From there Keith went on to the London Borough of Hillingdon eventually becoming a Senior Building Surveyor in The Department of Building Design & Construction. His work involved a range of design projects from multi house refurbishments to disability access adaptation schemes. Keith also acted for the Director of Building Design and Construction to investigate and report on internal project systems issues when problems were encountered.
Keith has been in practice with Haslams Chartered Surveyors since 1984 and a Director of UKBS since 2007. Keith undertakes appointments as Independent Expert by parties individually and as Court Joint Appointed Expert under the new Civil Procedure Rules.
Keith is a practicing Arbitrator and resolver of construction related disputes.
